MAP · nitrogen and phosphorus
11% Nnitrogen
52% P₂O₅phosphorus as P₂O₅
Granulated monoammonium phosphate (MAP, ammophos) for combined nitrogen and phosphorus nutrition. Uniform granules support even distribution across the soil surface.
Composition and characteristics
Contents by mass. The tolerance for the stated nitrogen and phosphorus parameters is ±1.5 percentage points.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Total and ammonium nitrogen N | 11% |
| Total phosphorus as P₂O₅ | 52% |
| P₂O₅ soluble in neutral ammonium citrate | 52% |
| Water-soluble P₂O₅ | 47% |
| Moisture | maximum 2% |
| Granules 1–5 mm | minimum 98% |
Application
For pre-sowing phosphorus nutrition with simultaneous ammonium nitrogen application. Phosphorus supports early development and root growth. The rate depends on soil nutrient status and the planned crop.
Considerations
Include the nitrogen supplied by the product in the overall field nitrogen balance. When choosing between MAP and other phosphate fertilizers, consider soil conditions and the required N:P₂O₅ ratio.
